North Fort Myers, FL, February 17, 2025 – Calling all anglers to the 29th Annual LCEC Fishing Tournament benefiting the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties! This year’s tournament will take place on Saturday, April 18, at D&D Matlacha Bait and Tackle.
Since its inception in 1996, the annual LCEC Fishing Tournament has raised more than $800,000 for United Way. This charity event, in partnership with United Way, demonstrates the LCEC commitment to the founding of cooperative principle of concern for community. LCEC is proud to serve its communities and remains actively engaged in caring for its members, while providing reliable and affordable electricity.
The tournament will begin with an honor start at 7 a.m., and all final tournament photo submissions must be received by 3 p.m. A mandatory captains’ meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 17, to review rules and distribute team angler bags. Cash and prizes will be awarded on tournament day, along with a silent auction, raffles, food and festivities.
