North Fort Myers, FL, August 6, 2024– LCEC employees will help hand out 1,800 backpacks filled with school supplies at the Lipman Family Farms Annual Backpack Giveaway and Back to School Event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 at the Immokalee High School football field.
LCEC will also distribute fun swag and Hurricane Guides to encourage storm preparedness. Several community partners will be onsite, providing food, haircuts, shoes, games, gift cards, and other resources to Immokalee elementary and middle school students. The event is free to the public.
