North Fort Myers, FL, March 5, 2026 – The LCEC Pay It Forward Program proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, marking a decade of encouraging employee volunteerism and supporting the causes that matter most to LCEC employees. Over the past 10 years, LCEC employees have donated more than 43,000 volunteer hours in their communities and $10,000 in donations to nonprofits through the program.
Each year, LCEC celebrates employees who volunteer more than 500 hours in a single year by recognizing them as members of the 500 Club. LCEC employees gathered to celebrate this year’s honorees; Nicky Sierra, Don James, and Shannon Williamson for reaching this impressive milestone. Each honoree was entered into a drawing for $500 to be donated to the charity of their choice, extending the impact of their dedication to service even further.
Through the Pay It Forward Program, employees who volunteer and track their hours can earn donation dollars to be awarded to a 501(c)(3) charity of their choice. Employees who volunteer between 50 and 100 hours in the community may designate a not‑for‑profit organization to receive up to a $100 donation. As part of this milestone year, LCEC has revamped the Pay It Forward Program to further strengthen community impact and is setting a renewed volunteerism goal for 2026.
LCEC remains committed to sustaining a shared passion for volunteerism and community involvement. For more information about LCEC in the community, visit lcec.net/my-cooperative/community/.
