Power to Share by Rounding Up expands the LCEC Power to Share program by providing customers the opportunity to round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar.
This money provides short-term emergency assistance to qualifying customers within the LCEC service territory.
Power to Share by Rounding Up works by rounding up to the next whole dollar amount. For example, a bill of $150.25
would be rounded up to $151.00. The additional $0.75 will be allocated to the Power to Share Program. Customers can
also add an additional monthly contribution or make a one-time donation to their bill. One-hundred percent of the
donated funds are allocated to the Power to Share Program and administered by United Way to help pay the electric
bill of someone in need.
Yes, one-hundred percent of the donated funds are allocated to the Power to Share Program and administered by United
Way to help pay the LCEC electric bill of someone in need.
Excluding additional donations, the maximum yearly contribution per customer is $12.00. The total annual contribution
will be reflected on the December bill.
When a customer donates to the LCEC Power to Share Program, they are contributing to an effort to make a difference.
Whether or not already contributing to United Way, LCEC encourages customers to consider contributing to the Power to
Share Program. If everyone gives what they can, we can make an impact on the lives of many. Contributions may be
tax-deductible (see your tax advisor for details).
LCEC and the United Way are committed to helping people in our community improve their overall quality of life through
long-lasting change.
Customers can enroll through
SmartHub,
online at

The Power to Share by Rounding Up program is completely funded by the generosity of participating customers,
employees, and business partners. Electric rates are not affected by the program.
