ELEANOR FLANNERY
District 2, Seat 2 – Cape Coral
Ms. Flannery has served as a Trustee since 2018. She has been a member since 2009 and was a part-time resident until moving full time to Cape Coral in 2015. Ms. Flannery learned much about LCEC while serving on the LCEC Nominating Committee prior to her Board service.
Before moving full time to Cape Coral in 2015, Ms. Flannery was an active member of the legal community in the Philadelphia area. She was licensed to practice law in both Florida and Pennsylvania until her retirement in 2021. She was a member of the Lee County Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, The Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Bucks County Bar Association. Ms. Flannery was also a past clinical instructor at Temple University School of Law, and an officer and board member of various local, national, and international conflict resolution organizations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s in business administration from St. Joseph’s University, and went on to earn her juris doctor from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden, New Jersey.
Community Service: Past director, Caloosa Coast Rowing Club; past director, Southwest Florida Blues Society; director and officer on several nonprofit boards ranging from legal and professional organizations and community organizations to an organization that provides services to individuals in need of care and treatment for mental health issues and developmental disabilities; implemented clinical programs in the representation of nonprofit organizations and mediation, Temple University Beasley School of Law; assisted in the design of the Philadelphia Family Court mediation program.
