TV energy use is fast on its way to become the fourth biggest energy use in the American home, eclipsing the refrigerator. Heating, cooling and water heating still hold the premier ranks even with all the improvements in efficiency over the year, but the TV energy use is rising so quickly with the advent of the big screen TVs and their recent decline in price.
