1. The meter arrester can only be installed, serviced or removed by a designated LCEC representative.
2. Point-of-Use surge suppression devices are the customer’s responsibility to install in accordance to the installation guide provided with the product in order to validate the manufacturer’s warranty.
3. If the customer moves to another home within the utility service area, the meter arrester may be transferred. A transfer fee will be charged for moving the device.
4. All warranties provided are from the manufacturer. The customer shall hold the utility harmless in connection with the operation, service, and installation of the meter arrester. In the event the protective effectiveness of the meter arrester should be interrupted or fail for any reason, the utility’s obligation shall be to repair or replace the meter arrester in accordance with this agreement. Such interruption or failure shall not constitute a breach of this agreement, nor shall the utility, its officers, directors or employees be liable to the customer or to third parties for any damage which might result from such interruption or failure.
5. The equipment provided will not protect against direct or indirect high-energy lightning strikes beyond the manufacturer’s rated energy absorption level.
6. Lee County Electric Cooperative, Inc. is not responsible for any damages from weather or lightning –related incidents.
7. Any electronics such as additional TV’s, microwaves, computers, modems, alarms, phones, VCR’s stereos, faxes, copiers, printers, and garage openers are not protected if they are not plugged directly into a Point-of-Use surge suppression device.
8. All warranty issues or claims shall be handled directly through the product manufacturer.

The meter-based arrestor and the POU products have a 10-year product replacement with a maximum of $10,000 lifetime payout.
