To provide the best protection for your appliances and expensive electronics, LCEC recommends a dual-stage approach:

Meter-based protection is a heavy-duty surge arrester installed at the electric meter. This redirects high voltage at the point where it enters the home and protects major appliances such as air conditioners, washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves and garbage disposals.

Stage 2:
Point-of-Use (POU) protection includes a selection of plug-in surge protection devices designed to protect your sensitive electronics such as computers, televisions, VCR’s, DVD’s, microwaves and garage door openers.

Pricing
With the exception of the monthly lease charge, all prices listed below are due at the time of service and cannot be included on your electric bill. Payment can be made by cash, check, Visa, Discover and MasterCard. Credit/debit card payments are processed through Online Resources, which charges a $5.50 convenience fee per payment. You may pay up to $1,000 per transaction.
