At times in their lives, customers may experience financial difficulties. LCEC partnered with local agencies to create a program where neighbors can help neighbors. Learn how to help those in your community.
The corporate vision at LCEC is to deliver the power that energizes our communities. This vision encompasses our delivery of electricity but it also expresses our commitment to supporting our communities in philanthropic endeavors.

The employee volunteer program at LCEC is unique because of the people who are dedicated to the program. LCEC employees are a very diverse group made of union and non-union employees, salaried and hourly employees, men and women. They have varied backgrounds in terms of education, technical skills, personal interests and job experience. However, when it comes to serving the community, employees have a similar dedication to making a difference. It is the diverse interests and talents of the employees that enable us to make such an impact in so many ways. By cultivating the partnerships our employees have already established in the community our volunteer program helps the people that need it most.

It is the uncommon things that employees do within the community that also help to make our volunteer program unique. Extraordinary things such as hanging a flag for an elderly person that can’t reach the top of their flag pole, helping to retrieve an injured bird and delivering it to an animal care facility, returning lost money when the owner had no idea it was lost, coming to the aid of an ill customer alone and on the brink, spearheading a student mentoring program or building a Native American tipi so children see that learning about history can be fun.

Our involvement in community projects entail contributions of thousands of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours for agencies such as United Way, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement and multiple projects with Chambers of Commerce and Civic Organizations throughout our five county service area.
