System Infrastructure Charge -
This charge is a reflection of the infrastructure costs incurred by LCEC in order to provide service at the new location. This charge is similar in nature to an impact fee imposed by many different jurisdictions.
System Infrastructure Charge examples: Single Family Residential Service (TOP/TUG) - Assessed at time of application. Single Family Residential Service (other than TOP/TUG) - Assessed at time of application for temporary service. There is no additional System Infrastructure Charge assessed at the time of request for swing-over to permanent service. Multi-Family / Condominiums - Assessed on each metered service including the “house” meter if one exists. Charge is assessed on the “house” meter at time of application and on individual units when ready to have meters set. Commercial Service - Assessed on each metered service including the “house” meter if one exists. Charge is assessed on the “house” meter at time of application and on individual units when ready to have meters set. Temporary Service - Services such as a fireworks tent, a Christmas tree lot, outdoor wedding, construction trailer (temp service for extended period of time but will never have swing-over), T-pole at multi-unit construction (temp service for extended period of time, will never have swing-over) will not be assessed charge. Service Removal/New Service - In the situation where an existing single family residence is demolished and a new house is built on the same site, the charge will not be assessed. Irrigation pump with separate meter – Assessed at time of application. Shed, barn, etc., with separate meter – Assessed at time of application. Metered lights – Assessed at time of application. |
